Water Buffalo

Habitat: Muddy waters of Asia’s tropical and sub-tropical forest. Water Buffalo are members of the bovine subfamily. All domestic varieties descend from the wild Asian Water Buffalo, which is endangered with fewer than 1000 in the wild. Domesticated Water Buffalo are thriving and are used as dairy animals and draft and pack animals. Their dung is used as fertilizer and fuel.
